~Product Listing Guide~
If you need help listing your marvelous creations, here's a snazzy guide for you:
STEP 1:
In your Vendor Dashboard, click the “Add new product” button.
Enter a product title. Try to keep it concise, it shouldn’t be more than 12 words.
Choose whether it is a simple (no options), variable or grouped product. As we only allow items made, assembled, or customized yourself, these are the only three options that apply. Please do not list external products, as they will be removed. In the case of grouped products, you first need to list the individual products before you can add them into a grouped product.
Tick the boxes if this is a listing for a digital, downloadable product.
Select the applicable categories. You may select multiple categories, as long as they apply to the item you’re listing. It is also advised to select all applicable categories within a parent category, for example: If you’re selling a necklace, select both the parent category “Jewellery” and the sub-category “Necklaces”.
Notes on categories:
The available categories list will grow as our vendor list grows, so you may find that the specific category you’re looking for doesn’t appear. For instance, if you’re listing a wire-laced thingamabob, but there is no category for wire-laced thingamabobs, then select “Home & Decor” and “Home & Decor – Other”. Once a week, we’ll go through the category lists and add new ones according to what’s been listed. We cannot foresee which interesting categories will be required, and don’t want a zillion empty categories in the store if most of them are empty. To simplify things for our buyers, we only want to display categories that have items in them.
Set your listing price and a discounted price if required. These prices exclude courier costs, as your delivery charge to the customer will be shown separately.
Set the brand if you brand your items, or if you produce different brands. Any brands you list here must be owned by you, or that you have direct permission to sell.
Add relevant tags that will help customers find your products.
Add a product cover image that displays the item clearly.
Important! – It is highly recommended that you only upload square images in around 1200 x 1200px resolution, as they will display the best, load quickly and keep your listings looking consistent.
If you don’t have access to photo editing software, you can visit photoscapeonline.com, they have a fully online photo editor called Photopea there.

Add product gallery images that show different angles, details, etc. Adding a size guide image might be a good idea if you’re selling clothing, or a scale indication to show the actual size of an item.
STEP 2:
Add a short description, expanding slightly on the title. It should not be more than 25 words.
Add the FULL product description. Here you can wax lyrical. Just try keep it to 200 words or less, or your words might be so smooth they fall off the page. It is recommended to include your processing time so buyers know what to expect, and discount coupon codes to encourage them to buy more items.
Inventory: Enter stock-keeping details if you’re selling pre-made items.
Shipping and Tax: Make sure the “This product requires shipping” tickbox is ticked. You may enter the sizes and weights if you like, but this will only apply if you use custom table-based shipping charges based on the weights and sizes of your items. We recommend setting a flat rate for shipping that will cover most of your items. If a specific item requires a higher shipping cost, you can override the default flat rate and set an additional cost for that product.
Linked Products: You may enter linked products here for upsells, or the other products that will be included in this listing in the case of a grouped listing.
Attribute: You may enter specific attributes here like materials or any specific details you’d like the customer to know.
For variable products, enter here the attributes that will create the variations, like materials, sizes, etc. Enter the prices and details specific to each created variation.
Discount Options: This only applies to bulk purchases of the same item. As you’re only listing hand-crafted items and not doing bulk manufacturing, this should not apply.
RMA Options: Tick if your standard return and warranty policy does not apply to this product.
Wholesale Options: This should also not apply due to the nature of hand-made goods.
Set your minimum / maximum quantities if applicable
Set the status and visibility of the product on the platform, and additional purchase notes you’d like to be included in the email sent to the customer once they placed their order.
STEP 3:
Now you need to set your delivery charges. This cost will be paid directly to you, as you will be arranging the delivery direct to the customer.
We recommend using The Courier Guy’s PUDO service, as you can book a locker online for as little as R65. You can drop your package off at a locker kiosk and The Courier Guy will pick it up and deliver it to the customer’s address.
In your Vendor Dashboard, go to “Settings” and click on “Store” and make sure your store information and address is filled in fully.
Then under “Settings”, click on “Shipping”, and add a Shipping Zone.
We only sell to South African customers, so set the country as South Africa. We also suggest you set a flat rate for shipping. Once done, edit the shipping zone entry you just created and set your price.
This price will be shown separately in the customer’s cart and checkout page as the shipping cost specific to items bought from your store.
We hope this guide will assist you in listing your products easily, so you can have them online and available in a jiffy!
